Pre Arrival Guidelines:

Indira University is just an hour’s drive from Pune Lohegaon Airport & 3 hours from Mumbai International Airport and you need to book your ticket to either Pune or Mumbai International Airport as per the availability after taking a Valid Student Visa from Indian Embassy / High Commission.

It is advised to take all the required medications & vaccinations for Yellow Fever, Typhoid Vaccine, Hepatitis Vaccine, etc. to avoid medical complications while you are in India.

Immediately upon the purchase of the tickets, the student should send their travel details to the Office for International Affairs. Flight details should ideally be conveyed at least 15 days prior to the journey. The Office of International Affairs shall facilitate the pick-up from the airport to the hostel. If airport reception facilitation is not required, students should specifically mention through mail while sharing the travel details that they do not require any assistance at the airport on arrival.

Students should make sure that they bring the Admission Letter issued by the University along with all the Certificates/Degrees and Transcripts (in original) and 15 passport-size photographs.

Temperature ranges between 35 to 45 degrees Celsius during summers and 5 to 25 degree Celsius during winters. Here the winter season starts around November so warm material (Sweaters, blankets, quilts, etc.) must be brought accordingly.

The electric standard in India works on 240 V. So, ensure that you have an adapter for your mobile or laptop if it operates on a different voltage in your country. Also, the electric sockets are 2 or 3 pins so ensure that you carry a converter in case required.
