The Groove Club presents ‘The Latin Groove’
Let the salsa rhythm take the lead
On 14th November 2025, the Seminar Hall’s Building at the Unity Campus, came alive with rhythm and pure energy as Indira University’s ‘The Groove Club’ hosted The Latin Groove, a celebration of movement, expression and uninhibited joy. With its vibrant atmosphere and electric spirit, the event perfectly captured the essence of dance as an experience that frees the mind and revives the spirit.
The highlight of the morning was the presence of the internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer, and the mentor of the Groove Cub – Mr. Sandip Soparrkar, known for his magnetic stage presence and mastery over Salsa and Latin dance forms. With 10+ years of professional dance and choreography expertise, he has led workshops across India, trained countless performers and built an unmatched reputation for transforming beginners into confident, expressive dancers. His teaching style is nothing short of high energy and full of rhythm, which demands attention which had already set the tone for an unforgettable session.
As soon as the music started, the hall shifted into a room alive with motion. Students felt the beat, matched steps and embraced the beauty of Salsa, one of the world’s most joyful and expressive dance forms. Through easy-to-follow drills, partner work, and rhythm mapping, participants discovered how dance becomes a conversation between the mind and body. With every beat, Soparrkar encouraged them to loosen up, let go and allow the music to guide their flow.
What truly elevated the experience was the students themselves. The hall echoed with laughter, excitement and the thrill of trying something new. Many students who had never danced before found themselves effortlessly moving in sync, while seasoned dancers added flair to every step. For two and a half hours, the campus forgot deadlines, classes, and everyday stress got replaced by spins, sways, and the infectious joy of Latin rhythms.
This event was a reminder of why dance matters. It pushes boundaries and helps students discover their own expression. More importantly, it creates space, an escape where dance becomes meditation. The Latin Groove ended with applause, wide smiles and a shared sense of accomplishment. Students walked out with Salsa making them feel lighter, happier, and more connected to themselves and to each other.
Indira University’s The Groove Club continues to bring such dynamic experiences to campus, keeping the spirit of art, culture, and creativity alive.
