The First Session of Capture Crew Club- Through the Lens Mastering the Art of Photography
On 19th September 2025, the Capture Crew Club at Indira University’s School of Pharmacy hosted its inaugural session, “Through the Lens: Mastering the Art of Photography,” at the Pharma Auditorium. Under the mentorship of Mr. Ranjan Zingade, a seasoned photographer and cinematographer, students embarked on a journey to explore the nuances of visual storytelling.
The session commenced with an introduction to the fundamentals of still photography, where Mr. Ranjan emphasized the significance of lighting, composition, and understanding the camera’s capabilities. Students delved into the essential rules of photography, learning how to frame shots effectively and capture compelling images.
A highlight of the workshop was the practical segment on mobile photography. Participants were guided on maximizing the potential of their smartphones to take high-quality photos, focusing on techniques like manual focus, exposure adjustments, and creative angles.
Mr. Ranjan also introduced the basics of creating engaging reels, teaching students how to craft micro-stories through short videos. He shared tips on concept development, shot sequencing, and editing techniques, enabling students to produce content that resonates with audiences.
The workshop concluded with a hands-on session, allowing students to apply their newfound skills in real-time. This initiative not only honed their technical abilities but also ignited their passion for visual arts, setting the stage for future creative endeavors.
The success of this workshop highlights the university’s commitment to fostering passion and creativity amongst students. The club aims to provide the students with opportunities to explore and develop their artistic talents. By blending technical knowledge with creative expression, the Capture Crew Club is paving the way for a new generation of photographers.
