An exclusive Portrait Photography Workshop was conducted at Indira University by the renowned photographer Mr. Aniket Kanade, a Nikon NPS Member and a professional with over 15 years of experience behind the lens. The session was held on 29th October 2025 at the Pharmacy Auditorium, Niramay, Indira Universe Campus, and was organized by The Capture Crew Club.

With expertise in wedding and street portrait photography, and work featured in both national and international publications, Mr. Kanade brought a wealth of knowledge and creative insight to the session. His approach to photography, one that values authenticity and emotion over perfection, resonated deeply with the students in attendance.

The focus of the workshop revolved around learning to capture emotion beyond expression, working with both natural and artificial light, mastering framing and composition and editing while keeping the “real” alive. Mr. Kanade inspired students to see the world and reminded them that every click holds a story waiting to be told.

The event went beyond technical skills. It was a journey into seeing the world differently, understanding how light, angles and composition can transform an image and how emotion breathes life into every portrait. Students learnt the art of framing with intent and editing while preserving the raw essence of their subject.

Having an artist of Mr. Kanade’s calibre share his craft was both an honour and an inspiration; reminding everyone that where creativity exists, so does infinite scope for growth.

The session concluded with students feeling enriched and motivated, carrying with them a renewed belief that every frame can tell a story and that their dreams, like their photographs, can come beautifully to life when seen through the right lens.
