On 16 September 2025, Indira University’s Swakiyam Centre for Incubation and Innovation organized a special guest session. Mr. Harshwardhan Wani, Founder of Foody Treat, led a workshop called IDEANOMY: Ideation & Opportunity Validation.

Great startups always start with great ideas, but the best ideas are the ones that solve real problems. In this session, our incubatees got hands-on experience learning how to filter out weak ideas, validate them, and sharpen them so they can make a stronger impact.

Mr. Wani taught the students simple yet powerful methods to test whether an idea would work in the real world. He urged them to consider deeply: is the idea solving a real need, who exactly is it for, and would people be willing to pay or invest in it? Through small exercises, lively discussions, and real-life examples, participants were encouraged to generate ideas, scrutinize them, and evaluate their efficacy.

The goal was not just to come up with ideas, but to make sure they are meaningful, useful, and scalable. By the end of the session, many incubatees had reworked their ideas. While some found new opportunities, others dropped parts that seemed less useful, and almost all of them felt more confident about going ahead.

This IDEANOMY workshop reminded us that having passion is great, but the same needs to be paired with careful thinking, constructive feedback, and validation. It was a day of insight, clarity, and inspiration – and for everyone involved, a step closer to turning ideas into real and impactful ventures.
