“Stand Out, Build Loyalty” by Mr. Baljeet Gujral
Indira University hosted yet another powerful learning experience under the Swakiyam Centre for Incubation & Innovation Induction. This time, the spotlight was on Brand Positioning, led by Mr. Baljeet Gujral, Chairman – Swakiyam Centre for Incubation & Innovation, on 13th November 2025.
Right from the start, Mr. Gujral set the tone with a simple but striking idea: “Great brands don’t just sell, they connect, inspire, and stay remembered.” And through the session, he showed our incubatees exactly how to build brands that do that.
Unlike traditional lectures, this session was honest and full of clarity. Mr. Gujral broke down the process of brand positioning in a way young entrepreneurs could easily understand and immediately apply.
During the session, Mr. Gujral spoke about brand positioning in a way that felt practical and relatable. He explained why positioning is the backbone of every successful venture and how even the strongest ideas need a clear direction to stand out. He urged students to truly understand their audience; their needs, fears, motivation and expectations because every memorable brand begins with empathy. He emphasised the importance of defining a sharp value proposition, the one factor that sets a brand apart in a crowded market. While talking about competition, he reminded incubatees that the goal is never to imitate but to learn where they can be smarter and more relevant.
He also highlighted how a brand’s identity; its voice, tone, colours and overall feel speaks long before the product does. Storytelling emerged as another key element, with him explaining how emotion plays a central role in trust building and long-term loyalty. And above all, he stressed the importance of staying agile, adapting with time and responding to change, because brands that evolve, grow and brands that resist, eventually fade.
What made the session truly engaging was the interaction. Students asked questions, shared the challenges they faced in their ventures, and openly discussed ideas with Mr. Gujral. His responses were practical, rooted in experience, and often eye-opening for young founders who are still shaping their entrepreneurial mindset.
By the end, the incubatees walked away with a sharper understanding of how brands actually grow in the coming scenarios. They left with clarity, fresh perspectives and a renewed sense of purpose.
This session once again highlighted how Indira University and the Swakiyam Centre for Incubation & Innovation work together to shape confident, informed and entrepreneurs, one impactful session at a time.
