Late Shri Shankarrao Wakalkar State-Level Debate Competition 2026–27

The School of Information Technology (SOIT) and School of Commerce & Computer Applications (SOCCA), Indira University, organised the Late Shri Shankarrao Wakalkar State-Level Debate Competition on 31st August 2026.

The competition brought together young voices for meaningful dialogue and exchange of diverse perspectives. Participants demonstrated critical thinking, confident expression, and the ability to engage thoughtfully with opposing viewpoints. The event reinforced the belief that a good debate is about reaching thoughtful conclusions, not merely winning a verbal duel.

The organising committee included Dr. Janardan Pawar, Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration) and Dean, SOIT and Dr. Anjali Kalkar, Dean, SOCCA. 

The competition provided a platform for students to articulate ideas, challenge perspectives, and learn from one another. It celebrated thoughtful dialogue, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to engage with ideas that shape society.
