On 15th October’25, at the prestigious Asian Leadership Awards & Dr. Tarita Shankar Excellence Awards held at the Taj in Dubai, Indira University proudly launched its logo. Representing Indira University and the broader Indira Group of Institutes was Prof. Chetan Wakalkar, Group Academic Advisor -Indira University and IGI, whose address left an indelible mark on everyone present.

Prof. Wakalkar highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Indira Group under the leadership of Dr. Tarita Shankar. He shared with pride that Dr. Tarita Shankar, President- Designate of Indira University and Chairperson & Chief Mentor – Indira Group of Institutes, is recognised among India’s top five women education entrepreneurs, a distinction that powerfully embodies the institution’s guiding direction and core values.

“These awards are the epitome of what she stands for- leadership, an innovative mindset, and an ability to empathize with the workforce. A student-centric focus for all that we do at Indira University,” Prof. Wakalkar said.

He also highlighted that respect for culture and diversity on campus is foundational to Indira’s identity, woven into every program and student interaction. Equally important, he said, is giving back to society – a responsibility Indira University accepts with humility and determination.
