Indira University unveils five dynamic student clubs in a grand ceremony, which promise to enrich campus life and foster holistic development. The event was a testament to the university’s commitment to nurturing creativity, confidence, and community engagement among the students.

The club launch set the stage for a vibrant new chapter in campus life. The event unveiled five student-centric clubs – SheCan Club, The Groove Club, The Wild Ones Club, The Stagecraft Club, and The Capture Crew Club, each designed to ignite passion and foster leadership among students.

The grand ceremony honored distinguished individuals whose exceptional contributions have significantly enriched their respective fields, and who now extend their expertise by mentoring our clubs in their respective disciplines.

Our very own Dr. Tarita Shankar, President Designate – Indira University and Chairperson & Chief Mentor of the Indira Group of Institutes, herself is all set to empower female students of the “SheCan Club” and make them learn the art of balance, lead with confidence, and drive change to create lasting impact.

The celebrated actor and entertainer, Mr. Siddharth Jadhav, renowned for his dynamic performances in both Marathi and Hindi cinema, and the mentor for the Stagecraft Club, will guide students in mastering the art of expression and performing with passion. His extensive experience and dedication to cinema make him an invaluable asset to the club.

Mr. Anupam Thombre, a distinguished wildlife photographer whose work has garnered huge recognition, will mentor the students of The Wild Ones Club. He will impart his expertise on capturing the essence of nature and awakening the wild leader within. His guidance is expected to inspire and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the natural world among the students and motivate them towards the conservation of wildlife.

Mr. Ranjan Zingade, a talented photographer and cinematographer celebrated for his cinematic storytelling, will lead The Capture Crew Club. His expertise will inspire students to see beyond the ordinary and tell untold stories through their lens.

Mr. Sandip Soparrkar, an internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer who has earned numerous accolades, will guide The Groove Club students. With his extensive experience and passion for dance, he will help students find their rhythm and flow, empowering them to move the world with their expressions.

Each club’s students warmly greeted their esteemed mentors through vibrant and thematic performances that captured the essence of their respective domains. These brief yet impactful showcases not only honored the dignitaries but also demonstrated the students’ enthusiasm and dedication towards the newly launched clubs.

The ceremony commenced as the students delivered an electrifying and heartfelt performance, dancing with fervor to Ganpati songs, capturing the essence of the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Following this, Prof. Renu Garg, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of creativity, collaboration, and leadership. She talked about the vision of these five clubs, highlighting how the students can drive innovation, boost confidence, and foster a dynamic environment for personal and collective growth.

The panel discussion moderated by Prof. Renu Garg was a highlight of the event. The guests shared their insights and experiences, addressing questions pertinent to their fields, thereby providing valuable knowledge to the students. An interesting rapid fire had the guests answering quick questions, adding exuberance to the event. The session provided an opportunity for students to engage directly with experts. They asked insightful questions that led to a deeper understanding, igniting a passion to explore and pursue their passion.
