Indira Survivor Festival
The Indira Survivor Festival was a pioneering and heartfelt initiative envisioned by President Designate β Indira University and Chairperson & Chief Mentor of Indira Group of Institutes – Dr. Tarita Shankar. This one-of-a-kind event was dedicated to honouring individuals of the country who not only faced significant challenges and adversity but have also emerged victorious in their respective fields as pioneers of human resilience and courage. ISF was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the human spirit and a tribute to those who defied the odds.
The festival brought together a distinguished panel of para-athletes, including Kapil Parmar – a visually impaired para-judo player, Arshad Shaik β a para-cyclist with an amputated leg, Vrushali More – a visually impaired para-judo player, Renuka Salve – a visually impaired para-judo player, Narayana Konganapalle – a para-rower with a prosthetic leg, and more.
In a gesture of support and encouragement, our visionary leader, Dr. Tarita Shankar, announced a significant commitment to the para-athlete community by pledging to sponsor the international competition expenses for Renuka Salve and Vrushali More for the next five years and provide a prosthetic leg to Arshad Shaik.
