On 6th February, first-year students of the School of Commerce and Economics (SOCE) now School of Commerce and Computer Applications (SOCCA) had the enriching opportunity to visit the Budget Exhibition organized by the Department of Economics and the Department of Management at PUMBA, Savitribai Phule Pune University. The visit served as a valuable academic milestone, transforming classroom learning into a real-world experience.

The exhibition was thoughtfully curated to simplify and present the complexities of the Union Budget and the Economic Survey of India in an engaging and accessible manner. Through interactive displays, charts, and detailed explanations, students gained a clearer understanding of how the national budget is formulated, allocated, and implemented. Concepts that are often confined to textbooks—such as fiscal deficit, revenue allocation, taxation policies, and government expenditure—became more tangible and easier to comprehend.

What made the experience particularly impactful was the practical perspective it offered.
