The Navratri celebrations at Indira University reached its peak on 1st October 2025, as the campus came alive with lights, music, and devotion during the much awaited Dandiya Night at ICEM, Chanakya Campus, Parandwadi. The evening was nothing short of magical; drones in the sky, music filling the air, and the Indira family gathering together to celebrate the spirit of Navratri on the eve of Dussehra and the ninth day of the ongoing Navratri.

The night began on a glorious note with the arrival of Dr. Tarita Shankar, President Designate – Indira University and Chairperson & Chief Mentor – IGI. Joining her was none other than the man of the moment, Siddharth Jadhav, a celebrated Hindi and Marathi film actor whose presence added unmatched sparkle to the festivities. Together, they led the Maa Durga Aarti, joined by faculty, students, and staff. The divine grace of the goddess filled the air, reminding everyone that devotion lies at the heart of every celebration at Indira.

Once the Aarti concluded, the evening turned into a halo of colors and rhythms. The students of Indira lit the stage with an energetic performance that instantly lifted the crowd’s spirits. Soon after, the DJ took over, and the beats of garba and dandiya transformed the campus into a sea of joyous dancers, all dressed in traditional attire.

What made the evening even more special was Dr. Tarita Shankar’s charisma, as she joined in the garba with students and faculty, embodying the essence of Indira, where leaders celebrate alongside their family. Siddharth Jadhav, taking the stage, spoke warmly about how Indira always feels like home to him and how Tarita Ma’am makes him feel a part of the family. His words only deepened the spirit of belonging that defines the Indira culture.

The night ended with laughter, devotion, and togetherness, as refreshments were served to those fasting and the garba beats continued till the very last moment. As everyone bid goodbye, one thing was clear, when it comes to celebrating culture, faith, and unity, Indira University knows how to make every moment unforgettable.
