Blood Donation Camp – Foundation Day Initiative

On the occasion of the Foundation Day Celebration on 5th September 2025 at Indira, the School of Information Technology and Indira College of Commerce and Science organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCM), Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The objective of this initiative was to foster a sense of social responsibility and to raise awareness about the vital role of blood donation in saving lives. Faculty members, students, and staff were encouraged to participate voluntarily and contribute to this noble cause. This initiative not only addressed the critical need for blood in local hospitals but also fostered a spirit of social responsibility among the campus community.

The camp was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Sumit Sasane, Prof. Rajminar Navgire, and Prof. Ramdas Bolage, in collaboration with the dedicated team of doctors and staff from YCM Hospital.

This collaborative effort underscored our commitment to community welfare and provided an opportunity for everyone to make a meaningful difference. In addition to the immediate impact of collecting valuable blood donations, the camp served as a platform to educate participants about the significance of voluntary blood donation. Through informative sessions and interactions with medical professionals, attendees gained a deeper understanding of how their contributions could save lives. The success of this camp reflects the power of collective action and has set a precedent for future endeavors aimed at making a positive impact on society.

The collaboration with YCM Hospital ensured the camp’s adherence to medical standards, providing a safe and efficient environment for donors.
