Doctor of Pharmacy prepares students to become frontline healthcare professionals with expertise in medication management & pharmaceutical care. The department provides training to understand and carry out a prescription audit, drug information, patient counseling, identifying and reporting adverse drug reactions, and identifying and resolving drug-related problems. The course provides theoretical and experiential training through practical and hospital posting in various specialties. The clinical pharmacist can contribute to various fields such as Pharmacovigilance, Insurance claims Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Medical Coding, Clinical Pharmacy, and Clinical Data Management. With advancements in the healthcare industry, the need for trained and skilled pharmacy professionals is increasing. These programs equip students to take on roles within the community, hospitals, and society.

The application process at Indira University is designed to be straightforward and transparent. Each stage, from filling out the application form to final submission, is clearly outlined, providing applicants with a seamless and hassle-free experience as they apply to various programs.
– Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.
– A candidate who has completed D. Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act is eligible.
– Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course. Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.

Pharm D is a 6-year doctoral program focused on clinical pharmacy, patient care, and therapeutic management, whereas B.Pharm is primarily industry and manufacturing oriented.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology from a recognized board, and candidates possessing a B.Pharm degree approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) are also eligible for lateral entry (direct admission to the 4th year), subject to fulfilment of the prescribed university entrance and eligibility requirements.
