The application process at Indira University is designed to be straightforward and transparent. Each stage, from filling out the application form to final submission, is clearly outlined, providing applicants with a seamless and hassle-free experience as they apply to various programs.
1. Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually. “However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling, open school systems of States, etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm Course.”
2. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course. Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration, as the case may be from time to time.

B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) is a 4-year undergraduate professional degree that focuses on pharmaceutical sciences, drug formulation, manufacturing, quality control, pharmacology, and dispensing. The course combines theoretical knowledge with laboratory training to prepare students for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, and research.
To be eligible for B.Pharm admission in India, candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Mathematics or Biology, and English. Admission criteria follow the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) norms and university entrance requirements.(direct admission to the 2nd year) in the end after requirements.
Admission to the B.Pharm program at Indira University is based on meeting academic eligibility and securing a non-zero score in Indira CET or other recognized entrance exams. The process includes application submission, entrance score evaluation, counseling, and document verification.
The B.Pharm syllabus includes Human Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Industrial Pharmacy, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Regulatory Affairs, and practical laboratory subjects aligned with PCI guidelines, among others.
B.Pharm graduates have a wide career scope in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, hospital pharmacy, clinical research, drug safety and regulatory affairs, medical writing and sales & marketing, toxicology along with opportunities for higher studies like M.Pharm or MBA.
No, B.Pharm is not equivalent to a Doctor degree. It is an undergraduate professional program and does not confer the “Doctor” title. Only Pharm.D graduates are formally recognized as Doctor of Pharmacy in clinical practice settings.
After B.Pharm, students can work as production executives, QA/QC analysts, regulatory affairs associates, medical representatives, clinical research coordinators, pharmacists, or pursue postgraduate studies for specialization and career advancement.
